Bleaching Carpet Anenome (Gig)

I have had this anenome for 3 years. It has grown and usually looks happy, when it spreads out it is over 2 1/2 feet across. I feed it a variety of meaty seafood a couple of times a week and it gets small stuff when I feed the fish. It is the only carpet in a 600 gallon tank. In the last 10 days it has started to bleach now it is completely brite white, normally it is a peachy color. It still looks healthy otherwise and is eating. The tank parameters have stayed fairly constant and nothing else looks stressed.

Any suggestions

It is your tank condition. Look harder. Heat, light, salinity, loose electricity, crack pumps, toxin introduced in top off or water change....
How is the rest of the tank?

No stray voltage, cracked pumps, salinity .025. All of the coral, sps, fish, and clams doing fine, so are a half dozen RBTAs. A few weeks back a pump feeding a unused biopellet rea ctor accidently got turned on that pump some stagnant anerobic water into the system for about 5 minutes, terrible rotten egg stench. I was very worried at the time and watched everything closely nothing died or even looked stressed for a few days. The total system is about 1600 gallons so there is alot of dilution. But it was within a week of this event that the anenome started to bleach. My question is do gig carpets ever come back from a complete bleaching, like I said it is eating looks full and and has a tight mouth.

Yes they will.. I got one a few months back completely bleached. Now it is dark brown. i am about to increase lighting to lighten him up a bit and get it to start producing pigments. This one was snow white when I got him but the base was bright blue...
