Oh, I would say he will be just fine! Just do the shading with the light and then he should be back to normal. I believe someone already said it is like being in the sun when you are already sunburned. You got yourself a Beautiful anemone there! Those clowns looking like they might be interested in a relationship...ha.

The anemone doesn't look as bad as I expected, which is a good thing.

Yea, the layers really do make a huge difference. And if you are concerned about the other things in your tank --- I noticed no ill effects from any of my SPS when I did the layers. And those SPS were used to full lights for at least a year.

I second that. Just a little off color and that could change from day to day depending on their mood. I spent all day yesterday concerned about your carpet and last night I got home and my husband and I were checking the tank as we do several times a day to see what the bulldozers (snails, hermits, etc) tore down and he reached in to pick up a frag that was under my carpets span and my carpet went from 22 inches to 2 inches in about 3 seconds. I was devestated! I said, What did you do to him?" He pinched him with the tongs on accident. I guess they do have feelings. Well, this morning he is back open. Yeah :)

lol Well I really apperciate yalls help and concern. I have not delt with a badly bleached nem and I dont want to, all I know is mine was headed down that road. Its reassuring that its not that bad, with it not being to bad I am gonna set up a qt for my clowns anyways just to see what happens. I will keep everyone posted and try to take weekly pics to show improvement.

When the LFS was getting mine out of the tank it was in for me it did the same thing and freaked me out it was like someone popped a balloon! I am glad to hear yours is ok :)

I could notice in your pic that your hammer have bleached also, I have the some problem as you, my anemone, hammer and torch bleached. My green BTA is totally white and the hammer and torch with a very light green color, like yours. I really don't know what it could be.

Well that is a frogspawn (same difference) I was actually given that in badly bleach condition so we will see if this helps bring it back I have only had it about 2 weeks. Keep an eye on your params as well I feel that was also a cause of some of my problems I am testing every day if not twice till I get back on track. Also I am not just dosing like crazy to fix params (while I have done additional dosing) I am doing weekly WC's instead of every 2 or three weeks. I am trying to get on a every two week schedule. Hopefull my RODI unit will be here by fri lugging water around in 15 gallon drums for a WC sucks!

ANYWAYS Screen has been on for 36hours and I think I have seen a positive respond from my haddoni so far he seems fuller and still is very sticky, eats, and is very firmly planted in the sand under a rock. Its to soon to tell much but I feel he looks a little better than before. I'll keep ya updated. : :) :

EDIT

I did cook some sps with high ph and and what I would guess to be large ph swings, low alk and low mag. As seen in my pics too so test test test!

Update: carpet is looking better in over all shape I thinks it still too soon to see any color return.

I however have another problem one of my LFS's has in 2 green and 1 very large blue gigantea carpets. All look to be in good shape the blue needs a lil help though. The problem is that one of the green's is the exactly what I wanted originally but I could not find any in good shape anywhere So I got my haddoni.
So while I would like to get him I dont want to give my haddoni the boot especially in its condition. The only other tank I have running is a BC 14 WAY to small for a carpet i know. Ugh its never easy....

First, I am glad that it is doing better. Funny how just a little increase in light can effect things (( along with the other issues )). I just got a new light fixture (( on Wednesday )). 2*250 + 4*54 T5s ( actinics ), prior to that I had 2*250 + 2*54 T5s ( actinic, though those stopped working part if the reason I got a new fixture ). The new bulbs are 10K compared to 14K on the old fixture (( bulbs were only 4 months old )). I didn't think there was going to be much of an increase in usable light, but apparently there was. A few things started to bleach, after one day. Now have screening over it. (( good thing I listened to my own advice right away. ;) ))).

As for the issues with the gigs, just buy another tank. :)

Ahhh I am turning into "that fish guy"

I have already given up trying to fight that label. ;)

Funny enough I was just at the doctor's yesterday, getting some stitches out, she asked if I wanted the tools (( since they throw them out )) to use on the tanks. :)

there is not alot of info gigs ive scoured RC and google and there is little use full info besides strong flow, lights,(especially having them under T5 lights) and rock placement. does any one have some good info I can check out?

Could look for some of "sugartooth" 's threads, or PM her, she knows more about gigs then I do, and has at least 2, 3 if the sort of new one made it.

wow suger has alot of reading I think I have his gig tank time line memorized after all that! My concern is flow I have plenty its just not on a wavemaker.

FYI, sugar is a girl. :)

And a very nice one at that, she watched my tanks over the summer when I was out of town.

it was a guy on the thread with the you tube vid showing flow and feeding (in suger's thread and exact tank). If thats a chick im scared.
