Blenny has Cloudy Eyes

Hey RC,

My blenny, despite his good appetite, has cloudy eyes. He swims around but is wary when I come by and swims back into the rocks as do all the fish.

Are the cloudy eyes and skittish behavior a sign of stress & illness?

Tank params seem fine and feeding is regular.

Anyone have any advice on treatment?

if it was only in one eye i would suspect an injury but since both eyes are affected i would suspect a bacterial infection. i also wouldn't rule out the possibility that it is parasitic in nature.

any other abnormal behavior? scratching, increased/labored respiration?

No scratching, however, the breathing is a bit rapid. If it is the case of an infection, is it a water quality issue or just the dynamics of introducing new fish to a system?

soooo many questions! I feel like I am 4 years old again asking why to everything.
