Blotched anthias has swollen stomach

I noticed tonight my blotched anthias has swollen stomach, I have never seen this before and am worried about him he is still eating but his stomach is very swollen. He is not as active as he usually is. I don't know if he has a swollen swim bladder? Is there anything i can do for him. I have owned the blotched for about 2 years now and never noticed anything till now.

Could be a swim bladder infection.

We recently tried broad-spectrum antibiotics on a similarly-affected stingfish with no luck (was also still eating).

We were going to try Diamox (acetylzolamide), but were not able to obtain it quick enuff and the fish died (you need a 'scrip from a vet).

We have used this very successfully to treat buoyancy issues and edema in SH.

The dosage is 250 mg/day/10 gals. If you get the med, LMK, and I can give you the protocol.

I will keep an eye on him but tonight there is no swelling i am wondering if he just ate something bad and got plugged up. I am sure it must happen to fish also. I will keep you posted, we are hoping it is something minor.
