That is a beautiful fish, you did a great job raising him, he looks happy and healthy. He is a hybrid (townsend), there is a small amount of queen in him. The pure blues do not have the small patch of blue on the forehead and have a distinct yellow band on the outer edge of the tail. Hybrids between blue and queens have a combination of patterns, this one is mostly blue which means at some point a hybrid bred with a pure blue and then that hybrid bred with another blue and so on so it is mostly blue and the queen angel genes are being bred back out of him.

Beautiful Specimen!Love the Emporer and Blueface in the 7th picture, and there is a Naso poking his nose in to see what your doing as well!

I noticed the "half" crown on the head, too. Townsend's, at least in the past. Gene flow between Queens & Blues is very common in the wild.

Beautiful fish!

very nice angel. the tankmates looks like they're equally impressive.

any chance we can see a video or a FTS(full tank shot) pic?

JC,

Beautiful angel. You've got a nice crew there. Post some more pictures of the rest of your tank if you have time.

Hi Pals,
Thanks for sharing your opinion to let me know these beauty's are Townsend.
The best thing is they never fight or chase since the 1st they I intro to my tank.
