guess it depends on which is more the pet ? the nem or the fish.

if your gonna keep a carpet you have to expect this. it's like keeping lots of crabs then saying where are all my snails???????? this is what they do.

Yeah thats the price you pay with housing "carpet" nems in reef tanks. I know my haddoni has had "steak" dinners from time to time. I dont have time to list all the fish that have lost their lives to it including some tank raised clowns. Sometimes I do get to view the event. While its rather hard seeing something you like, eat something else you like, Its is pretty wild. Im sorry for you loss but Im pretty sure its not the last time this will happen.
