Blue Face developed disease need help

Symptoms are: elevated scales near peck fin, and very cloudy eyes, eyes almost seem to have layers of scales on them. I've seen this before but just cant remember what it is or treatment. This is a reef take so treatment will be limited. Quarantine is not out of the question but difficult.

Try a FW dip. It may be flukes. If flukes you will see small "yelly" like things at the bottom of the container.

If the scales are lifted then a FW dip could do a lot damage to the cells. I would try treating the fish with hyposalinity in quarantine. Freshwater or formalin dips are very dangerous to fish with open wounds or sores. Hyposalinity may help if this is some sort of parasite other than brooklynella. It may be a good idea to use nitrofurazone in the Qtank also. Watch the ammonia level closely.

Terry, Good point on the open wounds.

I've seen a lot of fluke infestations in the last couple of years and this is some of the things I see from them. Reddened areas, ulcerated areas, cloudy eyes, frayed or ragged fins, blotchy skin coloration, jerking body motions, flashing against the rocks.

Any pictures?
