I almost bought one, but for the price I assumed with wasn't a true green but a tan one with green tips, or a slightly bleached one that looked green but when healthy is tan.

I don't think we need to buy gigs online with a fairly steady supplier right here.
They had a nice purple one again last Saturday but I'm out of QT space right now.

$500 for a blue gig? who in their right mine would do that? these people are the ones to blame for the price increase. vendors charge high price for as long as there is a buyer and the price keeps going up. i would rather not have a gig than to join the trend of higher bidder/buyer.
i turned down a purple gig at a LFS and he was asking $180 for a 9". please dont PM me and ask where because............. well just because.

Haha, I was fully expecting a Haddoni to be in the bag but I figured for $50 it was worth the gamble.
I ordered a tan Gig from BZ a few months back and got a green Haddoni. They sent out a Gig the next day. Both had to be treated but are in perfect health now.

I experienced exactly the same thing. But the gigantea I received as the replacement was closer to 8" than the original 4" one I was expecting.

I think Blue Zoo is actually quite good if in some points not even better than LiveAquaria. The biggest difference to LiveAquaria I see are the limited hours of operation, likely a lower number of staff (judging by the delay or lack of e-mail responses) and not giving a 14 day warranty on all and everything (which IMO is way too generous given how easy all those sensitive animals can be killed through wrong treatment by the recipient).
Jordan is the gig-master!

It's out of treatment and doing well. It's temporarily in my 120 before adding it to my Gig tank- wanted to be sure it was 100% infection free before mixing it with my other Gigs. Think there was a little allelopathy going on with the Haddoni but fresh Rox seems to have corrected the issue.

I'm really curious if they sold all of the crazy priced blues or if they all died in holding.
