Blue Gig Pictures

Hello,

Can you post pictures of the Blue Gig anemones that have been keeping in the tanks for at least 6 months?
I'm looking for one, and wondring what the color will turns out once it's settle in the tank.

Thank you,

There are two types, I think, dark blue and teal.

My teal one is much bigger now, but this shows the color (and also a yellow/green gig on the left):

I THINK mine would be classified as a "blue" gig. I've had it for several years now, and I posted updated pics recently. I'll link to the thread:

My anemone, since recovering from when I bought it, has remained somewhat violet or light purple in color, as opposed to darker blue (although with recent added light, it has darkened somewhat). It has remained plump, healthy and eats a TON. So I'm not sure if the color is specific to my anemone, or to the conditions I have it under. Perhaps BonsaiNut can chime in with his thoughts.

Here's mine.

Everyones anemones look great. How much do blue gigs normally go for? on average Thanks.

Usually around a couple of hundred for a new one, but the failure rate is pretty high (more than 50%, IMO) and I'd pay a lot more for a well established one in a nearby reefers tank.

Thank you all for the pictures.
Somehow, I always love the blue color.
I will get one Blue Gig; hopefully it will survice, and get along with the current Purple Gig.
If you know a good place to buy a Blue Gig, please let me know.

Most of the blue gigs I've seen come in solid blue, which leads me think that they are NOT healthy. All of the healthy gigs I've seen have some brown in them. While it would be nice for the gig to keep the solid color, I feel that the brown is a sign of a healthy zooxanthellae population and is far better than a nice color.
