Blue Gigantea (day 1)

Is it time to treat???

Is it time to treat???

This is how I found gig looking early this morning. It has shrunk a lot, but still holding it's shape. I fed it a small piece of shrimp yesterday.
The tank lights are out, and pic is taken with flash.
My tank lights come at 12pm ever day.
These pics are same time at different angles.

12:45-only 1 of the metal halides has turned on (far side of gig). The metal halide over gig comes on at 1:30pm.
I was able to get pics of mouth. I just want to try and stay on top of things if I am having a problem.
Pics taken same time one with flash one without.

The Gigantea looks fairly normal for night time. Once the light turn on it should re-expand to normal size.
Observe him at night often to see what he look like at night so it does not alarm you.

OK, glad it does not look like a problem. I observe him often at different times of day and night. I have never seen gig look this small. Thanks

yea, my big purple gets much smaller at night and folds like a taco with my onyx inside... when lights come on, it's 10-12" again.. looks fine.

I am glad everyone thinks it is doing fine. I have never seen it look this deflated. It is always huge, and shrinking 15-20% at night time.
This am it was at least 50% shrunk with tenticles deflated too. This is the first time it has looked like this.

1 month update

1 month update

Here is 1 month update pic of my gig, and black onyx clowns. My gig has done great for the first month. I never had to use cipro.

gig and the clowns look great. any more pictures? would you mind posting a full front picture of the tank? would like to see how you arranged it as our new tank's focus is a couple of gigs w/clowns. thanks

I will look for pics. I have gig located in front right corner on it's on rock separated from reef.
