blue midas blennny?

my friend just bought a really dark blackish blue midas blenny. 100% positive its a midas blenny
is this rare at all? i am yet to see one this color
and black tangs that are normally yellow are very rare

Midas come in a pretty big variety and change color like mad, I've noticed they darken when stressed, is his always that color? Do you have a pic.

it was swimming around the LFS as dark blue/black and when it got stressed out in the tank it turned dark black with the white smile.
in the bag it turned black with a yellow tail
i have just never seen such dark colors on a midas blenny

From what i have been told it is the female coloring. I have one and the color has not changed.

The blue/black is the female is what i was told. I had not seen one before and i put it with my golden midas and they get along fine.
