Blue Spot JF & Engineer Goby

I"ve already got he the Blue Spotted Jawfish in my system. Does anyone see a problem with adding an Engineer Goby in there with him.
The Jawfish is everybit of 4 inches and the Engineer is starting to change from the juv. He's growing a longer tail. (EG is at/in my suppliers tank)

My system is a 300 gallon 72 x 36 with 205 lb of live rock and 3 inches of sand. Lots of substrate surface area.

Pholidichthys leucotaenia actually does better in pairs or groups (if added simultaneously). if your tank is a reef, i'd be concerned with the mess the EG would likely make. are you planning a DSB for it?

I don't know about the two being together in the same tank. I have never had a Blue Spot before.

But, the EG would do better in a pair or trio IMO. I had two, but after I lost one of them the other s rare to be seen. It pretty much just hides under the LR and occasionally peaks out to see what I am doing.

I don't think the EG will dirty up the tank too much...at least mine doesn't.

I've heard that engineer gobies tend to mostly hide if kept alone. I don't know if the BSJF and goby will harm eachother, but I've seen pictures of both of them with smaller gobies in their mouths.
