on one of my false perc clownfishes there is a bluish black spot that lookslike a bruise. it is on the upper front white stripe. he doesnt seem to act any different. i thought maybe it was a bruise from bumping up against a rock

i only have those two. besides that all i have are snails and hermit crabs

i dont have a camera so taking pictures would be hard

How big is it? And what type ( if any ) of corals are in the tank ? If it is a fairly small spot, there is a chance that it is a coral sting. Sometimes clowns will be hosted by corals that may leave a sting mark. Pretty much harmless.

Agreed. One of my female latz still has a black mark from when she tried hosting a haddoni six or so months ago.

if your hermit crab has hairy pointy hairs on his legs then it is a hunter!

He might be part of the problem.
