Blue Squamosa

Hey folks,

What do the blue or green squamosas retail for in your area? (that's if you've come across one.) I'm talking about the solid colored ones. Let's say 4" in size.

They are exceptionaly rare, so much so that I don't think I've ever seen one in the area, nor any of the major online clam dealers. I heard there's one in NY for $400 or so, and only one person on RC has one that I know of....I'd love to hear the experience of others!

I can't say I blame him....forget teardrops...outside of perhaps the one wild teardrop pictured here on RC this week, it's likely the "holy grail" of clams. It's so spectacular, it ALMOST looks fake! (But, I'm sure it isn't based on testimony of those who have seen it)

If I am lucky, I will get a somewhat blue maxima and a green squamosa.
I am crossing my finger.

In here I know Scott Merrill got one and Acroporas too.
