Blue Tang - What is a fair price?

I bought this tang from cubano2480 a few years ago. He's in excellent conditions and eats like a pig.

He's about 6-7"

I'm in the process of redoing my aquascape and going a different route when it comes to livestock.

What's a fair sale price?

$30? I've seen half-dollar sized ones for that price at some shops. 6-7" is pretty big, I'd expect $50-$60 at retail. Of course, private sales are usually a bit lower.

6 to 7 inches in size it will be about $70.00 to $90.00 regular price.

Yep. That sounds a little closer to retail.
Fosters & Smith sells "large" ones (3"-5") for $79.99-$89.99 and I can guarantee if you saw one 6"-7" at Big Al's they'd have it priced out $129 to $159.
Of course like Jeff mentioned, private sales are always lower than retail... normally discounted by 25-50%.

That fish is still only half the size it could get. I hope whoever you sell it to has a huge tank.

Well , I just called cubano and he wants his baby back...so no sale will happen with this bad boy.

Still will love to know where to get this size fish for $30 though..
