Blue Throat Trigger

Just put in a trigger into the reef tank. I see him hiding in the rocks now. No other fish in there but him. Do they take a while to de-stress and start cruising the tank? Just though since it was a trigger that he would be afraid of nothing.

yeah I always get nervous with fish as you hate for them not to eat right away. Just figured the trigger would be a here I am in your face fish but maybe just not the BTT.

I've had BTTs that were eating out of my hand the second they hit the water and had one in particular that I had to buy a second trigger to teach the BTT how to eat in the aquarium. I've seen both extremes with this fish. Just keep an eye on him for a couple of days and see how it goes. You can always put a piece of shrimp on an algae clip and see if he'll come out for it.
