BobB's 90G 15 months old

My 90G reef is a bit over 15 months old and I guess its high time I posted some photos of my progress. Overall, I'm pleased with the results, although I battle bubble algae more than I'd like. The specs on my tank are listed below, and you can see what it looked like 11 months ago by clicking the little red house icon (above). I hope you enjoy the shots (I'm still working on photography, so bear with me...)

All corals were started from frags obtained from local reefers.

Cheers,

Bob

Thanks. I have the streams on a min to max flow cycle, and vary the cycle period from fast to slow changes. I've never seen much difference when I changed those settings, however the angle of the streams in my tank is super critical; a few degrees the wrong way and their flow will toss the sandbed all over the place.

tank looks good, i guess you like montes and millies.

Thanks. You know, it just kind of happened that way. If I could, I don't think I'd have put the Monti digitata's in there. They have overgrown the areas where I had hoped to put more acros, but what the heck. I'm at the stage in this reef where success (any success) is okay. I'll worry about how to get rid of the Montis sometime in the future.

Nice tank, btw, how you make your 4 side glass panel so clean?

I use an ocean motions mag scraper. By the way, I _did_ clean the tank just before taking the photos. It doesn't usually look quite so clean (maybe I shouldn't say that). lol.

That is really slick, mind listing some equiptment? I am also curious how far your MH are off the water, how far the VHO are off the water, and what reflectors you are using.

Thanks,
Whiskey

I think all of the equipment I use is listed in my sig. My canopy looks like this:

It's been two years since I built the canopy, but I believe I made it so that there was 9 inches clearance from the top of the tank, not the water. The reflectors are garden-variety polished aluminum jobs. I think I got them from Premium Aquatics or similar place.

BTW, you can see most of my equipment by going to my RC gallery.

I hope this helps.

Thank-you, I am trying to get an idea on how other people mounted there floressents, without blocking MH light.

BTW, I see one of your Interests is single malt whisky, but you forgot the "E" ;).

Thanks,
Whiskey
