This tank is off the hook. you've inspired me to go the cube route for my next build.

If you don't mind again could you describe your husbandry routine (water changes, vacuum of substrate, and do you add 2 part or run a calcium reactor?) and also if you subscribe to carbon dosing (vodka, sugar, Biofuel) and do you run GFO and carbon?

Also could you list your equipment skimmer and lighting and what brand of salt you are using. I think you are running radium 20k's in a mini stealth lumenarc at 400w.....What is your lighting schedule and do you plan on adding any supplementation in the future?

Sorry if you have answered the questions previously.

Love your tank..Subscribed..

THANK YOU :spin1: Maintenance has been very minimum these days, I do a 50g water change (Reef Crystals) along with sand siphoning/vacuum monthly. About every 6 months i would top off sand to replace any lost during the monthly vacuuming. I do dose carbon MB7 about 4-5 drops a day with 5ml of vodka. No GFO or Activated Carbon and no refugium. I empty out the skimmer cup, magnet clean the glass (if needed) and change out the 100 micron filter socks every 3-4 days.

The system is a bit ol skool and my motive was to build a simple system, my equipment consist of a Beckett Skimmer (Precision Marine Bullet 2). A Sequence Barracuda for the return, power the skimmer, provide water to the chiller loop and frag tank. Calcium via Reactor Korallin C4002, Lighting 1x 400w 20K Radium and 1x 250w 20k XM both retro fitted in a Regular (large) Stealth Lumenarc. The XM is on for 8hrs and the Radium is on for 3hrs in between to mimic the intense mid day sun. No other means of supplementation and no plans on adding any. I use an 1/4 Arctica Chiller to cool the water, for water movment i use a Vortec MP40 and i have a tunze 6101 tucked behind the rock work. I think i covered it all but i'm sure you can find any other info in this thread.

Crazy4Acros:

Would you be able to move in with me for awhile?., I mean, just until your finished aquascaping my tank, my wife and daughter said its ok.

Seriously, it's Stunning!, I can see myself throwing tools through the windows in frustration trying to get my aquascape to resemble yours., or, once I get going, I'll probably stay up for a week straight till I'm done.

Truly a work of art and an inspiration to all.

Hahahahaa I wish I could do that type of thing for a living, good luck on your aquascape just take your time and you'll be alright a coulpe of beers are helpful to ease the frustration

Update on the Frag tank

Update on the Frag tank

I did not like the whole frag tank visible next to the display, so i decided to place it back under the stand hidden and tucked away. I picked up a little acrylic 10g and after a test fit i found that i would not have enough room to place my hands in to put in or move out frags. So i decided to place the whole system on Heavy Duty rails. The total weight of the frag tank with water in it is roughly 90lbs and the rails has a rating of 100lbs fully extended i fixed the rail to only protrude out just enough for my hands to get in and out so i'm sure i will have no issues with support. Anyway here are the pics i took of the build.
