Bonsai Tree inspired Aquascape

I can live with $28 each. I'd like to have 5-7 of them in my 55g, but I can't find them online at all. Where are you getting yours? If I can find them, they will be the first fish in this system, and the largest fish will be a CBB which is a pretty passive fish. So, hopefully I'll have a high success rate.

My LFS got them for me, i think they are getting it from LA. They even went directly to their supplier, hand netted my last batch and overnight them to me but still had 3 out of 10 live. You rarely see these available and its probably due to their really poor survival rate. You might want to try and see if your LFS could get them for you.

This is my favorite tank. I'm just about to order the same tank only with external overflow and its gonna be greatly inspired by this system :D Thanks for sharing and inspiring us :)

Wow... I am truly speechless..... What an amazing job you have done.

Hope you don't mind, but I saved one of your full tank shots as wallpaper on my computer....

Thanks
CamG

your tunze powerheads

your tunze powerheads

Hi, Beautuful tank. I spent 5 hours yesterday aquascaping thanks to your inspiration and I'm very please with how my 390gal came out.

Did you cut the nozzle off of your Tunze Powerheads? Or did they come like that?

If you cut them was it purely for asthetics or any performance gain?

Thanks,
Mark

Rhizo, I am currently using a 250w XM 20k that is on from 9am-7pm to mimic the morning and evening hours. I use the 400w Reeflux 14k from 1pm-4pm to mimic the mid day sun. Both bulbs are retro fitted side by side in the Luminaric III Pendant. Currently i'm experimenting with having both bulbs on for 4 hours 1pm-4pm for the mid day. It does get pretty hot with them both on but my chiller seems to keep it in control.

markmcc, I cut the tips of the Tuzes to broaden the flow (kinda like a sawed off shotgun theory), i feel like it works really well for a 36x36 and it also allows me to have the output closer to the corals without blowing the skin right off. However i would not recommend doing this if you have a much longer tank.

Thank to all for the very kind words!!!:D

Hey Crazy....

I'm interested in your stand and the skins you've got on it??? What kind of would is that and can you give some more details please?

I'm interested in doing my new tank stand in steal with a skin job like yours...

Please let me know,

Thnanks
