How is this tank anchored? Are this types of aquascapes drilled into the bottem of the tank??

I just love the open clean look!!

Guys/Gals,

Sooo sorry i haven't replied back in a while. I'll try to catch up and answer your Q's.

addicted_2_reef, The sand gets siphoned along with a water change once a month.

tahiriqbal, I use no special thing to enhance the color on my rocks, but i must say that i am loosing a lot of purple since i have been experimenting with Vodka. The epoxy brand is called Aquamend it is the same underwater 2 part putty you may find in your local LFS.

parkavenuereef, Your question got lost in the 5th page lol, I was using a 400w SE Radium bulb powered by a HQI PFO brand ballast. I am currently experimenting on a combo of a 250w XM 20k for 10hrs and a 400w Reeflux 12k for 4hrs.

Chyendra, The whole structure is not anchored to the tank, it was built in one pice before entering the tank. mattnano had made an anchor out of a acrylic sheet for his base and glued a pice of acrylic rod for his rock structure.

Walter Costa, All is doing great i'll shoot some pics this weekend.

Again thank you all for your wonderful comments! :D

how many pounds of rock would you say that is? do you have more in the sump? any worries about lack of rock to gallons ratio? obviously its working out for you!

crazy, how are the Apogon Parvalus?

The Parvulus are doing great! Back in Nov i tried to add 10 more to my establish 3 and out of the 10, 3 of them lived so i now have six of them going strong:)pics to come soon.

Roctopus, I am not too worried about the "Rock per Gallon ratio" I don't think that theory is valid anymore as i have had success without much rock and using other means of nutrient export. I would have to say that there is about 40-50 lbs of rock in the tank.

Yea most of those theories are extremely broad or outdated... tank turnover, watts per gallon, lbs. LR per gallon...

Looking forward to new pics :D

So, all in all you had to buy 17 to get 6 to live, right. How much are you paying for these?

Pito, Yes that's correct and it wasn't very economical either i paid about $10 a pice so all in all my six fishes cost me about $28 each. These little fishes do not ship well at all and are very sensitive to change but i've noticed that the ones who do make it and get established to your system are pretty hardy and become pigs that eat anything you feed.

Paul, Correct all of my fishes are very active without larger fishes around. I believe that had a lot to do with the success of keeping 6 of the Parvulus living.
