Bonsai Tree inspired Aquascape

awesome looking aquascaping. i had thought about incorporating a suspended arch in my build, but pretty much decided against it....till i saw this :bum:

I just ran into this thread and I know you've heard it quite a few times already. I have to add that this is one of the most beautiful tanks I've ever come across. Just stunning.

Im sure you probably mentioned it somewhere in this thread, but i must have missed it. How long do you run your MH for each day?

Anemone0524, They are called Holanthias borbonius i noticed they can be quite aggressive once adjusted to your tank. Once awhile my pair likes to break up the shoal of cardinals when they swim across the tank.

lost4ever, I am currently running my lights 4hrs each, The 400w goes on first then the 250w finishes up the evening so about 8hrs and about 5min for bulb transition.

Walter Costa, Sorry I am trying to wait till the tank looks like a full mature system (getting real close) before posting a updated pic. But I can reassure you that the tank is doing great.

Paul B, Thanks!

can't wait to see updated pics, too! But, certainly, whenever you feel it's "showable", even though I'm sure it blows away most people's tanks!

Quick question, did you have to modify your lumenarc stealth fixture to accomodate 2 bulbs? Or did you make a special order from the vendor?

Sorry, I know nothing about the stealth fixtures.

thanks!

No need for apologies, the Fixture only comes with a single bulb. I had to modify the socket holder to accommodate 2 sockets. It is a bit overkill with 2 bulbs on at the same time so i have switch to 4hrs each basically the 250w is to simulate afternoon/evening hours.

crazy4acros - How many of the red spots and blue eyed cardinals do you have left? I had 10 but only have 3 left now ( 4 months old ). I am thinking of trying a few more but may try the blue eyed cardinals out.

Cant wait to see the new pictures! Its been a while!

Sorry for the late response just got back from vacation :D I still have 4 out of 6 red spots going strong, i found 1 that went carpet surfing due to the Holanthias Borbonius always chasing them around. I think they would have done very well if they where the only fish in my system the 4 i have now are doing very well and eating whatever i feed them. As far as the Blue eyed, I have had no issues with them and still have 10 strong.
