W O W And no snails hermits or stars W O W

No stars or hermits just snails infact only turbos 9 total. Nice thing about them is they are more active at night and hide when the lights are on.

wow, that is all I can say. I wish I had time to hook up with you and check it out when I was back in az over the winter!

I love the look of your reef!! I just bought a rimless cube of the same dimensions and your reef inspires me. One more thing. I'm not sure what MH fixture to use to light the tank. What is it that you have lighting yours?

I've always admired your tank. Kudos on a job nicely done! Though the aquascaping is stunning, I especially love how you picked fish that interact with your specific aquascaping style - fish that hang out around and under the protrusions of the reef. You didn't just throw fish in there based on color and popularity, something too many people do. The scale of the fish to the aquascaping makes it much more realistic.

eskymick, I am using the Lumenarc III Large pendant. I retro fitted it with 2 SE mogul sockets 1 250w XM and 1 400w Radium however 1 bulb is plenty enough.

skatezen, I appreciate that! Not too many people take notice to that type of detail. I try to choose my fish to match the theme of my tank, i know the Tang however is pushing the limits but i cant help it i love that fish  at 5 inches it will be the only big fish in there.

Here's some recent shots.

How often are you replacing the sand bed? There is no algae underneath the top layer even. Good job!

These pics were taken a couple days after sand vaccum/water change and a fresh top layer of new sand.

Drouner, Paul b thank you!

Thor,

Sorry to bother you with this since you've probably answered this already. If so, I don't remember reading it. ;). Did you do anything special for drilling holes in your rocks? I'm going to drill 1/2" holes in mine with a masonry bit. I plan to drill 1/4" pilot holes with a smaller bit first. I've got a basic corded drill for this. I'm most concerned with breaking the rocks. Can you give me any tips or tricks before I get started?

Thanks,
Paul

paulthomas, No need to apologize the only thing i did differently than what you explained is i used just an ordinary drill bit.

das75, No problem thanks!

tahiriqbal, Thanks hows your final aquascape filling in?

make sure rock is nice and wet, never use hammer action on your drill. Always drill hole slightly larger than your structure holding rods.....

Thanks for your reply. For the life of me I can't find a large Lumenarc pendant in black. Could you do me a favor and tell me the dimensions of that pendant over your cube? Thanks a million.
