Booster Pump vibrations -

I make my RO in the basement, just put on a 1/4" Aquatec 8800 Booster Pump Kit.

Issue I have is the vibrations. Not so bad in the pump room, but it's the room upstairs over the pump room. The vibrations become quite loud there.

My basement wall is cinder block, I've first mounted the pump on my plywood patch board, and then via tapcons directly into the block. Not any difference.

There is spring type shock absorber legs and I'm mounting via the mounting holes.

Anybody have suggestions? I was thinking of perhaps suspending the pump via a wire.

Put on a piece of thin foam.

I used 2 metal shelf brackets ad the rubber feet fit in the groove, pretty quiet for mine.

Make sure the pump is isolated. I found most of the noise comes from the lines hitting the water tank and not the pump. I managed to isolate them mostly and it really cut down on the noise.

I just hang mine using a zip tie from a single wood screw.

I found out that for me it was nothing to do with the mounts. (I figured this out as even hanging from the ceiling i still got the vibrations.)

I was using RO tubing to connect to my water outlet. My outlet is just a simple brass pectcock valve.

What I found is that since the RO tubing is rigid that it transmits the vibrations. Even a 20 foot length of RO tube still transmitted.

To solve all I did was put on a small length (~5 feet) of rubber garden hose before the RO tube.

All better!!!!

This is exactly my problem. It wasn't the pump vibrating, it was the water line.
