Booster pump, worth it for me?

-My tds on city water 92 ppm
-75 gpd membrane
-Pressure is 60-70 psi going in, coming out it varies from 23-45 psi.

I want to increase the efficiency of my RO unit and use less DI resin.

Will a booster pump give me any appreciable help?

Right now my tds after RO hovers around 10. It starts at 1 or 2, but I don't feel like changing my membranes every 2 or 3 months.

You are in a good range now. I usually set mine right about 70. Increasing the pressure more "forces" more through the ro membrane. Your membrane should last a couple years although the pre filters should be changed regularly. DI resin is just a function of adding up gallons and tds going through it. It doesn't last as long as most think.

With that much pressure drop, it seems that you need to change out your carbon/sediment filters.

You should be getting at least a 95% or so rejection out of just your RO :)

The TDS of 10 is even when I change my two pre-filters (sediment & carbon).

I think part of the reason is I have 100 feet of 1/4 inch RO tubing prior to the unit that I use to cool my sump and heat my incoming water. I may change that tubing to 3/8 line and see what difference it makes.

Assuming I can get a good 60-70 psi at the unit, will it still be worth it to get a booster pump?

I think some of them can go up to 120 psi.
