Booyah's Onyx

They're priced right around $90/pair or $45/fish. If you're looking for something a bit older and/or more unusual, that will up the price just a little. He used to also have some fish that were a little cheaper if they had a bad body shape or other things.

One of the best things about Booyah's Onyx, is that if you get a fish (which already will be showing signs of or turning black) and when it matures fully you don't like the coloring, it can be swapped out. No more paying Onyx prices for tiny fish and ending up with a true perc once it matures!

You all have great pictures of the maturing fish. I had an unfortunate accident when I moved my tank recently. I was devastated, as I love my fish. My Booyah pair jumped ship the day before the move, perhaps from the moving surroundings. However, I have been reluctant to come back to RC since my loss but find peace in knowing that they are being successfully bred for the aquarist! Mitch, if you're reading this.....I am so sorry. They were perfect. Let me know if you have any close to the same.

After talking to Mitch last night for an hour or so, i am pumped about ordering some fish from him ... great guy and i can't wait to place my order

Placed a order today :) cant wait. Talked with him for a while and even went shopping for freeze pops with him lmao ;). Ill get you guys some pics when they arrive.

Eggs....eggs and no place to put 'em

Eggs....eggs and no place to put 'em

Title is just to catch attention and while it is true that I have Onyx eggs with no place to go, I just wanted to provide an update on my wonderful Onyx that I got from Fitz....who got them from Mitch. Thanks to both of you! My female has only a very small orange dot remaining on her tail. I figure it will be gone by this weekend based upon the progress so far.

Mitch sure knows how to breed 'em! That reminds me to finally clean my tank so I can take some new pictures of mine.

Anyone else have updates?

Thought I'd post and add a few pictures of Booyah's beautiful onyx and picasso clowns that I picked up today. Here was my purchase from today. Thanks so much Patti!

I just picked up two juvenile onyxes from Patty this morning and I'm acclimating them now to my new tank. I'll try to get pictures up tonight after I introduce an rbta.

I had one of my babies die yesterday. Called mitch up to see what he thought the cause was. Sad day, but mitch is stepping up for me.

Korrine if you order some fish from him you will be more than pleased. The one that is left has colored up alot. I cant wait to see what it will look like in another years time. I just have to get her a replacement mate. They started fighting almost right after i got them. The Normal i put you in your place locking jaws/gils/fins. The poor fish just couldnt handle it anymore i guess. We think i ended up with two females. Ill post some updates of what mine have done in the short time i have owned them.

I finally found a way to get the pictures off of my camera (lost the cord and my card reader!) In about 2 months I have to move, so I have unfortunately now taken down this tank. The fish are back in the care of Mitch waiting for me to re-setup. I'm not a good photographer, but here's my updated pictures:

Beautiful looking!

My larger onyx is now nearly all colored up, the smaller one is now mostly black between the first and second stripe and coloring in between the 2nd and 3rd stripe. The anemone unfortunately decided to go hide completely under an overhang and isn't looking as good, but is still active and feeding so I'm not too worried.
