Brain dying?

I have had a brain for a couple years, he's relatively small, like 5 inches and never really grown. Over the past couple months he has gotten some browning, and over the past two weeks, he's looking really different. Here is a picture similar to what he used to look like, and a picture of what he looks like now.

Water chemistry is good, there has been a little salinity fluctuation in the past but not drastic.

Any thoughts? it really looks more like a colony of zoos or some baby bubble coral at this point.

It def doesnt look good. It seems to be vanishing for sure. What kind of lights you have it under? leds? This is a favia coral, and is a low light, bottom of tank piece.
Seems like the tentacles are out, so its looking to eat which is a good sign. I would move it to a lower light spot and also feed it 2x per week.

It's on the bottom of my tank (18 inch deep tank) under AI Sol LEDs, which are hung 8 inches above the water line, and are set to only 40% top end intensity.

Good advice, I would feed even more if it looking hungry like that.
