What would cause this guy to start sliming pretty much non-stop for the last couple of days? I got him about a month ago and never noticed this behavior. My water paremes and light have not changed since I got him.

Something may be irritating it. Youve got the brain right in the middle of a number of aggressive animals, who may be stinging it. I would try moving it to a different spot where he has a little more space to himself, and see if that helps.

I moved the candy cane to the far upper right rear of the tank...hopefully taht will help. I wonder if it also has to do with the red slime remover I used a couple of days ago. It got rid of all the cyano, then I did a 30% water change......maybe he's just a little stressed.

That frogspawn can send out sweeper tenticles, I'd move that for sure. The slime remover could be the culprit...but definately move the frogspwan.

have you changed foods recently, or started feeding more heavily? i've seen corals slime up plenty in response to foods entering the water column

I would move the maze brain away, may be a couple of inches away from these corals. I didn't noticed any means of defense on my similar maze brain.
