what can you tell me about brains?

What Lighting requirements?
Do I need a calcium supplement or reactor for them?
I have read up and it says they are easy to care for but what do I need for them?

I mainly do softies now I was looking at an open brain.

I have 2 250W HQI and 1 175W metal halide in a 125 gallon 72inch system with medium flow.

You should always be keeping your alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium in balance either way.

What do they eat. with is level 5-8 on lighting?

I feed mine squid and shrimp.Your lighting is fine as long as you keep them low.

low as low in the tank or low as the lights low right over the water line?

do they not need much light?

How offten do you feed them?

are they like anenomys they eat larger peices of food?

Mine seems to do fine without feeding but I love watching them eat so I feed every two or thee weeks. Here is a slideshow of mine eating mysis shrimp!

I keep mine at the bottom of the tank under hallides.

That will be fine, but they can be on rocks as well.

mine sits about four inches from the top under 175 mh's and loves it! it eats krill about once a week.

now that i look at it he's about 8 inches from the top.

here's mine sunbathing on a rock about 16" below two 150W MH. It eats light and captures mysis sometimes when I feed the fish. Apart from that I leave it alone.
