Breeding Same Hatch Clownfish?

I'm on the hunt for a pair of snowflake clowns that I want to eventually breed in the future. Ive got a noob question here, can you breed fish that are from the same hatch? For example, lets say I contact a breeder who has snowflakes, they have 30 babies ready to go (same hatch/parents). Would it be a good idea to get two from that same hatch or should they be from different parents/hatch?

I just have no clue when it comes to fish.

Based on my experience with guppies I would say no. Run into genetic defects

There are lots of snowflakes out there so grab one of each from different breeders... Genetically ( I believe) they are probably from one snowflake... Line breeding throughout times.

That's what I was thinking, thanks guys. Probably just going to just grab one form different breeders then. Any advice from others would be greatly appreciated!

The more genetic diversity the better. But that being said, it is generally accepted that you won't run into issues with clowns until you get to F6.

However you would not know howmany time these clown have been inbreeded. From experiences, diversity of gene is much better. My SnowOnyx is a lot healthier than Onyx or Snowflake.
