Brian's 270 Starphire

Dan, alot depend on what fish I'm treating. Overall I will condition the fish for a week or two, to make sure it's eating well. If I see any signs of sickness I'll treat it with cupramine.

If the fish is eat well I will treat with a full dose of cupramine and prazipro. cupramine for 14 days and prazipro for 10 day. Repeat if need. After I'm done treating, I'll remove medication over 1-2 week via water changes and than hold the fish without meds in QT for a weekor 2 to make sure nothing pops up.

Setup is pretty simple. Tank, heat HOB filter, and flower pot and pipe for hiding.
Thanks Brian. Sorry for being dense, so you always treat with cupramine and prazi?

Yes, just not always together. If I have a more sensitive fish I'll do them separate, but not always. :p
Thanks for the tips Brian. I've got my QT set up and some cupramine and prazi on the way. Been running a small submersible filter in my sump for a week and hopefully the sponge has been colonized, so I think I'm ready to go.

What are you getting :p

+1 You need to spill the beans.
Hah...nothing special like you big dawgs. Played Russian Roulette with fish since I started years ago and I think I might have finally found the chamber the last time so no more spinning the cylinder for me.

Now this tells me nothing. Is it a nipper?

Sorry don't mean to be secretive it's only a pair of Cirrhilabrus Jordani as I try to rebuild my wrasse collection. I'm not brave enough (yet) to add any nippers.

Great fish either way Dan ! I love the group I have, I'm sure you'll enjoy them. So the next one will be a nipper ;).

Man i Just read the whole threat and was excited seeing how you build your stand and carefully planned everything out.. I plan on upgrading to a larger system in my business (currently hotel) so it has to be planned out to perfection. Also, my biggest issue is i am never in one set location and would dread moving or being away too long. From what i've heard it has to be done extremely slowly. Is there anything you would have done differently? you stated you will be using tunze stream (on your list) but on the pictures it looks like they are koralia. Did you change your mind on the pumps? Good luck and thanks for the great pictures

There was alot of planning as I been planning this build for around 2 years. As for the move of my past 90gal and all the live stock.... I'm not sure if I would have done anything different. I did lose most of my corals but not sure if I did any thing different that it would have been avoided. I guess I could have sold it all but time was an issuse.

I have 2 tunze 6105 stream and plan to add 2 more. Since I lost most of my large corals, I didn't see a need to have them now as the koralia will do fine until thing grow out a bit. Once I restock on corals and get so growth I'll add 2 more tunzes. BTW the tunzes are great pumps!

Three days of stink!
