Brian's 270 Starphire

Even more slowly, I'm sure. I was told our couches we ordered are in... but we're not closing for at least 2 more months.

When we closed it took for ever. The processors are pretty backed up.

This page needs some pics :p

I totally agree :hammer: How are the flames? Whats next?

The flames are doing great! I had to pull the Tomini which has had ick for the last few weeks :mad2:.

I have a few fish I'm looking for if the right size comes along. I'm hoping to have some new corals next ;).

It only took me 5 yrs :p.

I'm digging the butterflies. Got my eye on them since seeing the article in reefkeeping.

Their not the rarest or most expensive but still on of my favorites. If your looking for a schooling fish their my pick.

Brian, I'm dig'n the B-flies. Any issues with your corals or are this species "reef safe"? Also can you go over your fish QT procedure?

How many pyramids do you have? I saw the article in RK as well but I've known they are reef safe for a few years. I picked up the 4 in my reef in early June. They sure make a nice addition to a reef tank don't they?

Greg, right now I have 2. I started with 3 but lost one in QT. I plan to adding 2 more. I have kept them before and the they are great fish. I was just waiting for the upgrade to add some again.

Brian, Can you go over your QT regiment? What medications you use, how long, hypo, your set up, etc. How often do you do a water change? I'm setting one up and need some advice. Thanks.

Dan, alot depend on what fish I'm treating. Overall I will condition the fish for a week or two, to make sure it's eating well. If I see any signs of sickness I'll treat it with cupramine.

If the fish is eat well I will treat with a full dose of cupramine and prazipro. cupramine for 14 days and prazipro for 10 day. Repeat if need. After I'm done treating, I'll remove medication over 1-2 week via water changes and than hold the fish without meds in QT for a weekor 2 to make sure nothing pops up.

Setup is pretty simple. Tank, heat HOB filter, and flower pot and pipe for hiding.
