Nice shot Brian. It looks really happy in your tank. This is one piece that I have never found the right spot for. I still have it down amoung a few corals as its just trudging along.

Thanks Mark, I've had this one for yrs and it never did much for me. I almost got rid of it a few time. I'm glad I kept it and I hope I found the sweet spot for this one.

Your UB looks nice, I like the green rings around the end of the coralites. I can't get mine to color up and everytime I move it it browns out.

Thanks Dan, I had the same thing happen to me before I found the current spot it's at. It definitely a picky coral.

Very nice Brian. Is this piece a solid light green throughout? Nice PE for a tank with nippers! Have you figured anything out for the valonia yet?

Dan it's the PL but theres not much yellow beside the tips. I guess it better than brown. It would probly look better if I moved it high, just need to find a spot for it.

As for the nipper and the valonia, none of my angels nip yet. The valonia is being removed manual until my tank is ich free for at least 12 weeks. I might try some emerald crabs.

I know emeralds are not the most ideal but at least they are good at knocking the stuff loose so I can pick them out. Still haven't seen the orange spot pick at them yet but the valonia infestation is slowly going away.

Hum, doesn't look like a PL but maybe due to the camera's ability to capture the right colors...the polyps don't look pink.

Kenny, how many emerals did you add?

I can't remember exactly but somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-8. That was about a month before I got the orange spot. If anything, they are great at removing the tough algae that the fish can't get. The only negative I've seen so far is that the bigger ones have a tendency to move some of the smaller corals, which isn't a big deal.

Yep, I don't like them but it looking like I'm going to give them a try.

There pink, but my little point and shoot sucks. I'll see if I can get a better camera.

I think I'm going to throw a few in there too. My Siganus doliatus doesn't touch the Valonia (or at least I haven't seen it) and I'm starting to get an outbreak.

Wow that more than I was think. I was looking to add 3-4. Kenny are they messing with you corals?
