Brian's 270 Starphire

Yes Sir, she a slow grower for me :p.

Mine doesn't grow very fast either, but mine is a tad shaded at the moment ;)

Wow another nice piece with great PE. Are you sure you have angels in there? J/K  Brian do you have any clams or LPS in your display or with the large angels would that just be out of the question?

You and your PE :twitch:

Thanks Dan or should I say thanks Mark for the great frags ;). As for LPS, I have one chalice and one acan. The angel leave all my corals alone. I feel confident adding more LPS but I prefer acro's.

As for clam I have none and don't have any plans to add any. The risk is just to great that either the clam will get pick on by an angel or that the clam might bit back :).

Mine doesn't get much light too. It off to the side a bit. The colors better than the pic, but without a new camera body this is the best i can do for now. The camera will have to wait, as a government employ too, you know how that is.

Overrated!

Thanks!

I know I'm PE obsessed...at least it's not ED

Do you guys think Centropgyes are harder on LPS and clams than the larger ones?

Dan, honestly I have had a few Centropgye's pick at corals as much as some larger angels. It really depends on which family of larger angels your looking at. What I would recommended is to find a few angels you like and go from there. Chaetodontoplus is one family of angels that seem to have a better track record ;).

Thanks!

True, I have good luck with mine as well. If they would only tell the bicolor and orange stripe to knock it off. But the sps seem just to extend at night now. I only have a couple of sps now so they do get picked on more than if i had a tank full of em.

Oh the pressure :fun5: I feel like the last of the Mohicans  Someday maybe I'll get off the porch Brian, Kenny and Mark certainly set a good example. Which angel(s) do you have?

bicolor's are definitely a hard one. BTW Alex I hoping to head you way this fall to visit Sonny, Jim and you. Maybe I might make it around swap time over there. Are you going to MASM swap?

dunno yet, I would like to cherry pick some corals at the swap. One thing thats doing really good for me is my yuma's, ricordia's, micromussa's and blasto's. The angels have no interest in them. My old emp would munch them down in a minute. Send me a pm a week before ya head down and i'll frag up that reefraft unknown. (For the lack of a better name.) Terry from canada's acro.

Sound good. Maybe I'll see you at the swap, right now there not much worth going for. How far do you live from there... might be reason to go and stop be afterwards.

I am about 20 minutes east of there, jimC and I are about 5 minutes apart.
If youre wife likes to shop stay the night in the area and stop at the malls here. Theres lakeside, summerset and the new one partridge creek that even the guys have stuff to do at and ya might get some brownie points. :)
