Brian's 270 Starphire

Well Mark it might not be long until I'll be have one of those days too :hmm2:.

Sorry to hear Brian. :( We're back to three furloughs a month and our state has not even been discussing a budget agreement. Its no big deal I guess, since its only day 50 of the new fiscal year. Hopefully the country is watching what is happening in the Great State of California so this never happens again :love1:

I would say everyone is watching. Furlough day will be better than employee cuts.

For some people it is, in others, like out here, cuts are needed so everyone does not need to suffer. If that means me; so be it. There is a lot to be said for treating people with dignity and not using them as political pawns. Besides, many people could get just as much on unemployment after losing 15% of their pay.

I'm just blessed to have a tank these days to watch fishies swim around :fish1:

I just read through the entire thread...
Beautiful tank. You mentioned earlier you had a new way that you were hoping would stop the ich in the tank. Could you eloborate?

Reading this makes me motivated to get going on my 380 build.

Furloughs for me are just a cut in pay I work at a prison so we just bank the days and so far I have used maybe 3.After next month I'll be able to take 2 months off on paid furlough days. Lol like that will happen.

Thanks, I was hoping to add enough UV to stop the ich. While it could work the amount that I feel and other good source have told me is not going to be possible now. The ich in my tank come and goes. Over time I feel the fish in the system will build a resistance to it, but every time i add a new fish, even after QTing there is a good chance that they will get it until they build their resistance to it.

This is some thing that i can live with, but it also means I need to make sure all new fish are condition well. This is some thing I do anyways. My conditioning and QT go now for 6-8 weeks before fish are added. For smaller juvenile fish even longer :).

Great set of pictures...trying to keep up but it's hard while away. Keep up the postings!
