Lol, not a problem. He was a few hundred bones but I have seen fish go easily for $1500. For me, he will always be my priciest fish. I won't spend anymore on one...as of now.

Awww squirt! I have one of those two, he's only about 2 inches and was orange but now is white and loves his mollies!

Mine started out all bright orange with just slightly dark orange rings/spots, but then faded to a creamy white with orange markings, and in that pic was yellow with purple markings. Pretty crazy the color transformation that he went through!

Yeah, I've read they can change up to a few times a month depending on how they feel and surroundings. Mine is pretty cool white now, but I think I might add like an orange background and see if he changes back.

Thanks Gary. Your bundle of Torches has sort of inspired me to make my Solana a Torch haven. I currently have 7 different colored colonies in my display. I will slowly be adding more as I see them. I'll probably end up getting rid of some of the zoanthids and paly's to make room for them as well.

Mike ,if you put a price on such a fish i would suggest that you be ready to sell . do you really know me and my resources ? i think not but you must come down just a tad before i will entertain the thought with vigor .

try placing something that is his color and he will somewhat mimic the color thus making him more vibrant .i had a purple one and with all my coraline algae he really stayed very purple .
check or money order ?
cash ?
trades ?

pfffftttttt ~okay he is yours , lol !

I got my Angler from ARC. It was in his 37 column that was totally covered in ultra bright orange Scoly's and acans. I tried to find more orange corals to fill my tank with, but there's no way I could afford all the stuff in Randy's tank to keep my fish that bright orange.

Haha, I wish I could get some orange corals. Unfotunately the tank he is in is not meant for corals. Just one t8 tube that's it.

I've got one started...okay, it's pretty big...in the 120g. I have not been disappointed in my decision to forgo other corals for the space that a torch garden needs. I have about 7 different colonies too, Mike. I'm still collecting them...my goal is to have the entire middle section of the 120g, just above the main cave, covered with them.

And an updated pic of the Solana would be cool....:)

That is something I can work on Kat. I have also added TT. I did purchase a torch from Kase that was gorgeous but unfortunately within two weeks it had melted away. Tried to frag and dip, but nothing work. All the other torches are doing fantastic though.

i've become "comfortably numb" in the expression, "you win some, you lose some"....especially in regards to coral. lol.

I can try to get some pictures this evening. He is doing fantastic and eats two silversides 3 times a week. He is a bit more active than I thought and actually likes to perch on rocks. He knows when it's time to eat, he actually comes to the surface to look but to avoid him swallowing air I make sure to drag the food further down towards the bottom.
