I have an anemone that I just fished out from under a rock. It has been stuck there for a couple of months and I just now found it. Right now it looks like this little ball of mush. It is just starting to open up. I fed it a little piece of silver side and it is just starting to open up. It has attached itself to the glass. Can anyone give any tips on how to help the revitalization process?

Not much else you can do but feed it every couple of days and keep the powerheads covered.

Be careful when reintroducing it into the light. Bright lights may shock it and it will bleach. Just cut the lighting cycle down and feed it very small pieces, but more frequently than usual. Like finely chopped silversides, but every other day or so.

Reason for different Halides is clams are on stronger side and inverts and anything else that requires less light is on the other side. The anemone is on the 175W side, which really isn't thtat much light considering the tank is 24" deep and he is on the bottom.

Can you please post a FTS as I really like to see a tank with different lightbulbs on each side? is there too much light imbalance or does the supplemmentation with PC even it a bit?
As for the anemone try soaking its food in coral food or maybe vitamins for 2-3 hours beofre feeding it.
My RBTA has been in the tank since 2000 and it bleached 3-4 times for no reason. Always recovered with additional feedings and coral food. This time it bleached really bad and 2 carpet anemones I had died with the last green carpet turning totally white (was away from the tank for 3 years...) I improved the lighting when I got back and started feeding the anemones 2 times a week. The green carpet recovered very fast whereas the RBTA is now fully opening every day and eating much faster but still no improvement in its coloration except one tentacle that has a very light pink tint in it. I wonder if they lose their xooanthella to a degree beyond recovery?
