Just introduced an arrow crab to my tank last night. In 20 min. he/she had a bristleworm in hand and was ripping it to shreds and eating it. Kids loved watching it go to town.
Just introduced an arrow crab to my tank last night. In 20 min. he/she had a bristleworm in hand and was ripping it to shreds and eating it. Kids loved watching it go to town.
They have a bad rep with all the guys I know. In general they are fins rippers and one guy reported one snatching a clown fish while it slept. If you do add one be cautious.
I will have to update the thread six months down the line and see how everyone is doing. So far the arrow crab has been a pretty chill addition to the tank. I don't think it will ever run out of bristleworms.
I've been informed the arrow crab is kind of creepy, but the worms are gross, and creepy > gross.
