What the best way to catch these lil bit___? They just took out 2 clam over night that were perfectly happy! Im ****ed!!GERRRRR:mad:

Monica use to trap them with the trap tube bought from fosters and smith, but it's way to much manual effort and slow for me. What I've found is in indirect result of treating with Salifert Flat Worm Exit is it flushes out tons of bristle worms.

I personally haven't had flat worms in a long time and haven't taken out a worm in about a year. I have a clam but thought worms eat what's dead...

Charlie, more than likely your clams were dying and that is why the BWs ate them. If you want to catch them, try putting some shrimp inside a small piece of pantyhose and place it away from the rocks. The BWs will go after the shrimp and get caught in the mesh of the hose.

I haven't heard that method before....thanks murfman.
Bristleworms are overwhelming my Nassarius breeding tank. I'll have to try that method.

The clams have been looking awesome for last 6 mths! I guess anything is possible as far as there health! Ill try the hose method and see what happens! Thanks all

Hey murf, I've heard of this before, but havn't tried it yet. Have you actually tried this yourself or know someone that has? Does it actually work?

I have two that REALLY need to go. One is about 6" long and the other is at least 8" or 10" long.

I took my rock out and let it sit, as it drys the worms try and move, looking for water. YOu can also use freshwater to try and get them to move.

Come on now, the best solution is always fight the problem with something that eats it. I used arrow crabs and they eat them like gummie worms. I used to overfeed as a rookie and had a major problem in my fuge. As I started to get some intelligence I realized they were a problem. Threw two arrows down there and they were gone in about two weeks. I laughed, one had a worm in each claw. It was a pretty funny sight! I find a lot of traps to be gimics, but maybe I'm wrong?
