Some people say they are bad... Some people say they are OK? I sure as #$#$ got some in my tank?? Don't like the looks of them crawling around. Thinking about going and getting an Angel Crab tomorrow to shred some of them up!! Any thoughts??

I don't like these either, but I never see mine. I saw a huge one when I moved, I let it die in a box. Not cause I wanted it too, just becuase I wasn't going to touch it.

Never had a problem with them. There is one lurking around in my tank that is as wide as my little finger and 8-10" long.

If you ever accidentally grab one while grabbing a rock, keep your hand underwater and scrape the spines off. They come out easily.

an angel crab or arrow crab?

I had an arrow crab once very cool. just be carefull they like to pull food from anything they can. They will eat most of the crabs you have in your tank also

Just another tip. If you get spines in your fingers you can also use a piece of duct tape to pull them out. Also works for stingers, glass and splinters that are still above the skin surface.

I freaked out when I found mine.. went out and bought an arrow crab.... he died.. lol.. they have caused no harm though. Mine are small, and I have actually handled them by accident, with no stickers in my fingers.... got lucky I guess..

It depends on the species. Most are good when they are small, some will eat sleeping fish when they are huge, I've had personal experience with that one. Also some species prefer certain corals, and I've also lost clams to worms when they burrow into the foot/inside of the clam. Most small sized worms arent bad though. My wife thinks they are icky when we look at night with a red lens flashlight. When the light crosses they suck back into the rocks real fast and she doesn't like it. :P lol
Cheers

Wrasses have always done a good job keeping their numbers in line in my tanks. My wife is wigged out by them for some reason. My last sump was FULL of them :D

Only Eunicids will attack fish, and they're not bristleworms: they have 4 tentacles around their head, and single legs down their sides, no bristles at all.

Sk8R you can tell that to a goby of mine....was taken by a 6inch Chloeia viridis. Came off some florida LR.
