Bristle Worms

They are reef safe and good for the system. I've never had any problems with them. Just bought 12 baby bristle worms to add to my tanks.

Yeah they are beneficial to the tank but many people say the big ones are problems, Ive even seen little bristleworms being sold on eBay!

Thanks. I had a couple of corals die abruptly, and thought they may be the culprits... I have tons of them (they come out at night).

they come out a night but in the daytime burrow in the sand bed and keep it loose and aerated--that's what makes them benefical

what corals did you have die all of a sudden?

Bristle worms wont eat coral but they can detect dead and dying tissue way before we can so they just eat that which is why many people think they are coral eaters and not reef safe but thats is not true.

Frogspan (which was branching off and doing great). And a green & red brain...

do you feed your coral anything
what is your lighting and flow rate in the tank?

Every time I have lost a Hammer/frogspawn/torch.....it was because of Ph and Alkalinity problems.

Have you checked yours lately?
