Broken bracket on 6025

Roger.

Has anyone had aroblem with the plastic cleats that hold the clamp to the magnets. I tried to put it on the magnet and a set of the cleats broke when ai tried to connect it. Do I just e mail TUNZE to order a new clamp? Thanks...

Yea, they aren't too strong and will break if you're not careful. Roger should give you some info on how to get new ones.

They should be plenty strong but we found an error in the way we made them. The material is lexan with glass fiber reinforcement and it can happen that the glass fiber accumulates in the clips and makes a brittle spot. PM me an address and a reminder of what you need and I will send it.

I have had the same problem with the bracket cleats. The bracket does seem weak to me. Mine came with one of the cleats broken and the other was bent backwards and when I tried carefully to straighten it it then broke as well.

Yeah. Mine came broken also. 2 in the same line. I have it holding on with teflon tape.

Thank you Roger. I just received the bracket for my 6025. It feels stronger than the original. Is this the new material you were talking about? It is stronger. I had just bought a 6045 and the bracket that one came with dosent feel as strong. Thanks again for the great support!

The material is really the same, Lexan. It just is molded at a lower temperature and the glass fiber has been removed since the high temp and glass fiber seemed to cause brittle tabs.

Well doing that really made a diffrence. Great improvement!
