Broken post on a 6045 Nano

I just found another post broken on a 6045 Nano Stream. Pruess Pets has eplaced 1 for a broken post and another for a swollen magnet.

I don't know where I bought these from should I contact Pruess's for replacement or can you help me.

I have the same problem but I ordered from Reef Exotics. How should I go about getting it fixed.

How long have you had the 6045s? I am thinking I want to add two to my tank but reading about the the shaft problems in many of the threads, I am concerned if I should wait or look at something different. Do the 6101s have the same problem?

The 6101s do not have a shaft at all, none of the larger streams do actually. Tunze i believe changed suppliers for the metal shafts due to the breakage that was happening as they do not have an inhouse metalworks. As for the shafts that popped out in earlier models they changed the size of the hole the shaft sits in shrinking it slightly to give it a tighter fit

I would say the shaft problem is a thing of the past, for the past couple months this issue has been solved. The clamp issue will be solved with a new clamp which should start shipping next week.

I just had the clamp the holds the nano bust last night. This is on my other nano. So now Im down 2.

i took my two nanos off last week after 6 months+ and the clamps both were broken when i tried to put them back. both had snapped in a similiar place.

How long have the 6045s been on the market? What other things do I need to be aware of besides the clamp and shaft? Is there a production date or anything on the box to check? My LFS probably has units that are 6 months old.

They have been on the market since January of this year, every issue was remedied by July with the exception of the clamp. They usually don't stay on the shelf that long, newer pumps can be identified by the round cord and the most recent ones now have a date code but it is not very obvious it is etched into the motor on the inside of the pump.
