Brown algae in empty tank ???

Hi I 'm setting up 75gallon reef tank with 2x250 w metal halide and 2x55w pc. I running empty tank with salt water for 2 weeks .Suddenly brown algae everywhere. Anybody have any idea what is cause this problem or anyone exp this before ? little help 'll be nice. I used ro water in my tank . pls help...

You are experiencing brown diatoms which is normal, the lighting isnt helping either. During a cycle I would reccomend little no lighting at all. The less light you have the less algae you will have.

my tank is empty . I mean nothing in there .just salt water no rock nothing..

It will still grow algae if it has water and light.

The algae has nothing to do with rock or fish. As the previous posters said, water and light is the combination needed.
