Brown Branching Mess. Need help with ID

Need help IDing this growth. Tank has been set up about 9 months now. Mainly dry rock seeded with live rock rubble. After diatom bloom and then cyano on sand bend, brown hair algae began to cover the bed. Anyhow as the branching organism began to grow (fast), the hair algae started to disappear. As the same bed cleared the mysterious growth stopped. It has stayed relatively the same size since. So I'm thinking it's nutrient hungry( hair algae die back may have also been the addition of a sifting goby, or just tank maturing).

The second thing looks like a sponge, and I have no clue what the first is.

some kind of hydroids?? lots of different kinds.

The second one is a birdsnest coral"sps"
