Brown marco on new live rock

This live rock came from an established aquarium. I found it at a lfs and picked up a couple nice pieces. One piece was half way covered with a brown algae. Looks remotly like a scroll coral only much darker. No poylps eather . Any ideas? Sry no pics.

Try looking up Padina, Lobophora, and Turbinaria.

I just did a search on RC, this was the only thread, lol!

change the search date. there are lots of threads. also try google.

Well I started the search from any date and I still only got this thread?!?!?

When I search RC for Padina I get 4 pages of results, turbinaria algae - 5 pages, and lobophora / lobophorum - just one page for each spelling.
