i don't have a po4 meter or test kit. I've always left it up to my algae issues and how "crazy" the xenia pulse to determine that lol

well, its not perfect but its better than what i had. i took the odysea ps-75 off and hooked up the coralife super skimmer with venturi. Hopefully this will produce a little better skimmate and fairly better results overall

Having the same issue in my tank. I dont think it's a lighting issue in my case. I have an 85 gal cube with a 400w lumen arc.

I have the lame API test and everything is in line, but assuming it's PO4 I've purchased a reactor. Does anyone know how long it takes for corals to regain their color after it's gone brown?

It should return if you give it stable parameters and good conditions. It can take months though. Bleached corals however, good luck, although I have brought a couple back but bleached is much harder to do.

usually browned out sps's from what ive gathered over the last year is mostly caused by phosphates or lack of light. it does take some time for frag that were shipped to gain their color back even with no p04.

i have a tri color frag that i purchased about 2 months ago. the polyps were always extending but was mostly brown. i had a salfert low range phos test and was reading 0. i decieded to invest in a hanna ppb meter. turned out my phos was at .06. ive recently lowed it to about .01 and bam tips starting to turn purple/blue within a week. my nitrates are around 2.
