Brownish red build up on SPS in high flow

Corals getting browned out could mean alot of things. Could be
New tank syndrone
Stability
Lightning
Phosphste/nitrate high
Flow

It's not actually Browning of the coral overall. It's a brown algae film build up on the side facing the flow.

This set-up is not new, only the sand. The current live rock, coral, etc is pushing almost a year and a few months old. These are my water parameters today.

Aug 18th:
Alkalinity 8.0
Phosphates .04
Mg 1360
CA 375
Salinity 1.026
NO2 0
NO3 undetectable

Odd place to get cyano or any type of build up- at the point of maximum flow..
But it does fit with your current situation..
What happens if you redirect the power head so that it's not hitting the corals?
A pic would help but it certainly sounds like everyone is on the right/same track..
I've had this happen in many separate occasions. Almost common in my tank.

Anything that is not in direct flow is just fine. So the problem got worse. Anything in the flow with some build up is starting to fade and die off, tuning white... including my large Monte colony Wich I'm upset about.

I did a 20% water change. I'll give the during bacteria a try. Sounds like it would make sense.

Your nutrients need to be in a good ratio N03 to p04 as well as bacterial supplementation.

Ai hydra 2600 and two hydra primes. The hydra 2600 and one of the prime are positioned on the right side of the tank with the sps. The lps live on the left side with a single prime. Lights are about 9 inches above the water. They come on at 9:45am, slow ramp up. The lights don't hit full power until around 12pm. Then a very slow ramp down after 1:30pm. The lights get pretty weak around 6pm and shut off at 8:30pm.
At full power:
-All blue and UV spectrums on 100%
-White 44%
-green and red hit Max on 5% mid day otherwise they are off

They're good lights. I use SB reef about 15" off the water. I run my blues st 100% for 10 and whites at 25% for 4. I'm thinking the hydra would be stronger than my lights. Is it possible they're getting too much light? Or maybe too much white light.

I was afraid of that and looking at other people settings mine may be a little bit too strong
