So many Letters...lol omg. ok.
Seriously... I have the infamous $199 BRS RO/DI 5 Stage System. (for a few months) TDS meter always read 000-001. Now it reads 020-024 (out)
But water coming in is 004-005.. So does this mean I only need to replace the DI cartridge? or?

Oh, and do these TDS readings, mean the water is actually getting "dirtier" going through the DI stage?

Possibly. The DI is an adsorption media. It will soak up ions until it's "full," at which point it starts dumping all of it back into the water.

Ideally you should replace the DI as soon as the output TDS goes from 0 to 1. Some media also changes color from blue to brown as it becomes spent.

You should fast flush your membrane if TDS is creeping up.

I also have this same RODI unit and i always wondered how do you know the built in TDS meter is accurate? My DI resin has changed from blue to brown but my meter is still reading 0. I have the replacement kit but I was not sure if i should wait to see if the TDS raises or not. In inlet reads a TDS of 3-5 if that has any effect.
