BRS's calculator for alkalinity

I am using the Soda Ash (High purity sodium carbonate) per the mixing instructions on the jug mixed with RO/DI.

Their site has 4 choices for the calculator and I am sure it is one of these two.

2 Part Alkalinity (soda ash) solution
Dry Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) crystals

I am confused and not sure which I should be using. I am using the dry soda ash and at this point I have followed their instructions to make the solution.

Any help with this is much appreciated. Thanks

That kind of what I assumed but the 2 part confuses me. Unless they are calling the RO/DI one of the parts?

The name "2-part" refers to the two solutions: the alkalinity solution and the (mostly) calcium solution. If you want to dose the tank, you would use the first entry you mentioned.

Got ya. So when they say 2 part they mean they are used in conjunction with each other. Not necessarily mixed together in the same batch right? The instructions show to mix them as two separate solutions. Think that is where I got confuzzled.
