i read the spotlight article on Bryopsis some decent help but nothing ground breaking

i'm having bryopsis problems and i'm sick of it

i manaually remove about 1x/wk
run rowa (phosban in the past)
58gal RR tank w/ lots of flow
1 yellow eye kole tang
2 clowns
1 royal gramma
1 6-line
1 bangaii cardinal

APF600 skimmer (WAY over sized)

do water changes every other week @15gal/ change

feed every other day about 1 smal cube of frozen food w/ the juice drained off

i can't figure out what more to do? i don't over feed, over stock, i have a great skimmer, do a good amount of water changes, run po4 removers. my po4 was tested w/ a colorimeter and i got 0.02-0.04ppm!!!!! so i really don't have a phosphate problem and i STILL have bryopsis :(

any advice? help. i HATE the stuffs and really want to get rid of it

I hate when posts go unanswered but, unfortunately, there is not much more to be advised for Bryopsis invasions than what you are already doing. Have you tried any biological controls other than the tang (which, he might not really being doing much now that I think about it) - sea hares, other nudi's, or the other touted invertebrates?

Does this tank have a refugium setup to try to outcompete the Bryopsis? Or, would you be willing to plumb a small one in?

Samala - thanks for the reply!

i was begining to think there wasn't much more i could do

i'm not conviced that any fish will eat bryopsis and i don't have room for one. less nutrients the better

havent' used sea hares or nudis or an urchin. really dont' want to but if i must i guess i'll have to

no refugium. no room to add one either :(

i'm thinking of trying Prodibio for a while to see what happens

thanks
